Every book that has ever been written needs to be made into an audiobook, like, now. I'm painfully addicted to audiobooks and I'm royally annoyed when I try to look for something and it hasn't even been made into an audiobook. |

So um... Baz has a weirder fear than me:
Out of nowhere, Baz has suddenly developed a horrible fear of teeny floating bits of sock fuzz in the tub. God forbid one float towards him. He screams until I remove it or him from the tub. It's so sad to see him scared of something he used to chase around the tub, but it's really quite funny. I'm such a bad mom that I have a hard time not laughing. *hangs head* |

A few friends and I made a message board for military support that's not full of sunshines and lollypops. The board's for anyone in the military, married or dating the military, anyone related to anyone in the military, or pretty much anyone who has even heard of the military... we're not real picky here. Male, female, whatever. *shrug* We're full of fun and sarcasm! Hope you enjoy!

Because I know you all care... I found the greatest swimsuit ever! It doesn't make me look like a mom trying to fit into supermodel suits and it doesn't make me look like a frumpy old woman covering everything. It was from Old Navy and only $20. I got the vintage one piece in black if anyone goes to the site and looks for it. It makes me look just like me! (http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=5405&pid=527188&scid=527188012) For those who know me, can't you see me in that slathered with SPF 50 under an umbrella reading and getting free drinks while everyone else frolics in the water and sun? |

Today was the first trip to the park for Sebastian. He loved the slide! He loved walking in the pebbles! Most of all, he loved the swings.
We plopped Baz in and he was all, "Um... I don't get it."
I pulled it back, "Wait, what's going on?"
I let go, "OMG WEEE!!!"
I should really post photos, but I haven't uploaded them from the camera yet. |

Holy EARTHQUAKE, Batman! At 4:30AM with no warning. I was not pleased!
Sarah, I'm sorry you have to deal with that regularly.
Thankfully the baby slept right on through it. I felt like someone was trying to toss me out of bed, however. |

[Feb. 24th, 2008|09:54 pm] |
My mom went outside and saw the neighbor's house across the street had smoke coming from her gutters. She asked me if I would look. I thought she was crazy, but looked anyway. I'll be... it looked like a little bit of smoke was coming from her gutters! I walked closer and smelled it. I walked up the million steps to her front door to see if I could see smoke inside. Nope, but the dog was there; mean dog. I told my mom to call 911. In the less than five minutes it took the firemen to get there, the smoke had built up enough that there was no doubt that there was a fire.
They broke through the basement window and the front door. They pulled some clothes and some plastic out of the basement window and hosed it down. If you're wondering about the dog, they let her out into the fenced back yard to stay out of trouble. She was freaking out. All this time, no one could get ahold of the owner.
In true South St. Louis fashion, about 30 people were gathered around. People brought their kids up from down the street to come see. It was around 30 degrees out, by the way. We finally got the story of what happened. The owner left her dryer on while she went out and the uncleaned lint trap caught fire. Eventually she came home and my mom told her what happened. She gave my mom a huge hug and thanked her for saving her house. There was no damage other than the front door and basement window. And the dryer and clothes, of course.
So all it well. Let that be a lesson y'all! Don't leave the house with your dryer going! And for goodness sakes, clean your lint traps! Those things are always starting fires. |

Sebastian likes to squeel at the cats when they come around. I used to think it was because he was excited. I was wrong.
Spike squeeks like a mouse when he mews. Sebastian's trying to squeek back at him. They've talked to each other a few times squeeling and squeeking back and forth. It's so cute when he gets right up in one of the cats' faces and starts squeeling at them. They don't appreciate it much, but they're becoming tollerent.
So, yeah, my baby's first "word" is a cat squeek. He prefers to talk to the kitties than his mommy. *sniff* |
